Say "Hello!" to the New You

I will begin this blog by introducing you to the new you.

The "new you" has a new American name.

You were born in a small town in the United States and grew up there.

You suffered amnesia (memory loss), but you can find out all about your American past by going to WWW.Wikipedia.en .

You will find an article about the town where you grew up and what was happening in the years since you were born.

You will do this by entering the name of the town (e.g., Silverton, Oregon; or Bisbee, Arizona) in the Wikipedia search engine. Usually a Wikipedia article has links at the bottom of the page for more information.

There may be movies, books or TV shows that portray the town or region in which you grew up.

In order to "remember" your American past, you must do research into the life you lived during the time you were growing up there.

This includes school activities, holidays (e.g., Halloween), recreation (e.g., parks, swimming, hiking, shopping, etc....). Eventually it will all come back to you, and your New American Persona will be reborn.

You will be a "born-again American" with the ability to speak and understand English just like any other native-born speaker.

You will also have your other non-native persona, and may switch off your American persona whenever you please.

The purpose of this blog is to provide you with a forum (a place) for developing and sharing with others the adventure of "re-capturing" your English Persona.

My name is Mr. Chirpsky, and I will be your guide.

Good luck, and let the adventure begin!
